i have a large amount of algae in my tank. i bought a sailfen blennie on Thursday and prior to that i did a water change on Sunday. My water remains cloudy and seems to have smoke moving about the tank. I forgot to tell you that i lost my blennie and i have lost a mandarin goby that i have had for about 2 months. i cant ever seem to keep it maintained, its always something and i keep losing fish.

Yes I agree...A little carbon in your filter will clear up your tank in no time. Another product I have used is called Chemi-pur. Basically a ion filter media, wrapped in a nylon bag, which helps keep ph levels at a constant level. :jumping:

I use a product calle Algone. I love it, the algae is gone my levels are great. I never noticed how well it worked until I forgot to order it one month and the algae started to grow.

i have a coral beauty and a royal gramma left. i use saltwater for water changes with sp grav of 21 and ro to replace evaporated water. Recently i lost a yellow tang, the pet store replaced it and the replacement died and i wasnt about to tell them that one died(smile). I am getting frustrated. My tank has been set since Dec. of 2003. I thought i was doing good at one while and i was doing water changes every two weeks. This seems to be so difficult and prior to this new hobby i had maintained a freshwater tank for several years.
