cloudy water

I came home work today and the water in my tank is cloudy. I have a 55 gallon tank containing about 65 lbs of live rock, various corals, a yellow tang and 3 green chromis. I have had the tank about 7 months and have never found any problems with water quality. I did a 30% water change yesterday for the first time and today the water is cloudy. The salinity is ok but the pH is too acidic. Is this the problem, and if so how do I fix it?

Possibly. What is the pH. Calcium is more soluble at low pH. What is your rockwork? are you adding calcium?

Did you rinse your crushed coral good when you first set up your tank? If you stirr up non-well rinsed crushed coral it will cause your water to look very milky. Just a thought.

Usually when I do a water change, the water is cloudy right afterward, but by the next day is better. Usually it is just stuff that is stirred up from the bottom, or by the equipment having extra bactria and waste the manage. I hope that is all that is wrong with your water. I've also heard that high ammonia will cause cloudy water, but I am not sure.
