Cloudy water

The water in my tank is kind of cloudy, not really cloudy but some what. My comparison is made when i goto the lfs and see how clear their water is. My fish are all doing very well but this is really bothering me. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

What you want to do is get some carbon from the fish store. Its relativly cheap and get a filter bag and drop the carbon into the filter bag and put it in your sump. Give it a few hours and it will filter out all of the fine particles that are causing the cloud appearance in your water.
Keep the carbon bag seperated from the sump pump

Should i leave it in the filter or let it do its job and then take it out. Does it matter where in the sump i put it? Should i put it directly underneath where the water enters the aquarium??
Thanks

You want to leave it in the sump and change the carbon out about once a month. I will usually take mine out and rinse it at about two weeks. In my sump I have different compartments so I just put in a compartment that gets good water flow and it does get sucked into the sump pump

If you reference the picture of my sump (in a post above) i placed the carbon in the bag underneath the blue balls. It has only been about four hours since i placed it there as well as added new filter media. Maybe i am being impatient but i am somewhat of a perfectionist with my hobbies. Any advice would be helpful. I checked all of my levels about an hour ago and they all turned out perfect again.

Yeah it is not clear yet, and it is a 55 gallon tank. I will have to try out a phosphroate test next. I will test it and hopefully figure it out from there!!
Thanks for all the support
