Cloudy Water

I'm just wondering if the water in my 40 gallon will clear up when I get a protein skimmer later this month. It has gotten increasingly cloudy with the addition of a blenny and a false perc.
Thank you,
Spencer

Do you run carbon?
can you post your water parameters?
What do you feed? How often?
How old is the tank?
What's in it?

Some causes of cloudy water is macro algae going asexual, ammonia spikes, a sand bed disturbed that has no been stirred in a while, or pollutants.
What water tests have you done and what were the readings?

I wish I could post the parameters but I dont have a test kit yet, hopefully get one soon but the LFS doesnt have any. The tank contains a small Zoo colony, one bicolor blenny, a larger clown and a cleaner shrimp. The only thing I have noticed recently is the sand is slowly going from a dark brown to light white again.
Thanks again,
Spencer

A protein skimmer would do the trick.
Not necessarily.. If that was the case, Everyone that doesnt run a skimmer would have a cloudy tank..
We really need more information on the tank and what the params are.. A picture would also be great..
Is it cloudy like micro bubbles or cloudy like the water has some organics floating in the water column?
