CLOUDY WATER!

I added about 15 gallons to my 125 display and the water got cloudy, all my inverts and fish are fine, all the corals sre doing well, I just dispise :flame: the cloudy water. How do I get rid of the cloudy water with out hurting my corals and other animals? Its a relativly light bio load, about 3 fish and a cuc with about 3mushrooms, a few heads of xenia, and some zoos. What do?

You added 15 gallons of what type of water? plain ro/di OR more saltwater - and if sw, what salinity? did you add any additives to the water first, like buffers/kalkwasser?

Did you mix the water in a separate container with a power head to churn it for 24 hours before trying to use it?

I put a hob filter that will go to my sons tank, using that as a particulate filter. Anything other than phosphate leeching to worry about?

Also when I use ro water I mix the salt ina 5gallon carboy and a paint can shaker and then I pump it to my tank after a few hours of that. Mixes water better than just a power head in my opinion. Its not adding ro water or additives like kalkwasser, I added ocean water, from about 5miles out. Direct from the atlantic, and then my water gets cloudy!
