I have had a occelaris clown for about 6-7 years. Finnaly decided to get him a buddy lol daughter kept asking why marlin did not have nemo with him=) So I went and got a small occelaris clown mabye an inch long. They starting swimming together immediatly. Now my first clown will not leave his zoas, it just lies down in them while the small one circles above and will not even come out of them to eat? Wondering if this was normal?

it sound like the original clown is protecting its host and saying " Hey these are MINE
".
When I feed, I like to thaw the food in a cup of tank water ( Same with flake if I ever used it) and then I squirt it in with a turkey baster. You could try the same thing and then be sure to squirt some to the original clowns direction.

Yea that makes sense=) Today it seems the little one has moved in, was laying in the zoas with the original.. But no go on the eating.=( squirted some his way and he kinda acted interested but did not eat anything. He better get over it soon lol.

If your new clown is not eating yet, try feeding it frozen cyclopeeze. It is a good food for finicky eaters. Its even good for any corals you have to feed.
