Clown Aggressiveness

My true perc has become insanely aggressive about his LTA. He will attack anything, including me, that comes close to it. Is this normal behavior?
Given that he is so aggressive would I be able to introduce another perc and have a reasonable expectation of cohabitation? He is about 1.5", so getting a smaller perc MIGHT be an option. There are no hazardous tank mates so it might be a possibility.

Yes it is normal, my gold stripe maroon can draw blood. As far as putting a new clown in i am not 100% sure, I do know that a smaller clown is what most people do. Good luck.

thats normal =] if i was u i would buy 3 or 4 smaller percs and one by one try them out. see witch one he will like. but there will be a little aggressiveness.
