Can a condi anemone and a clown go together? We have a nice condi and after a few weeks my daughter would like a very small clown to put with it but I though I had better check on compatibility first.

Not recomended...Condies are not natural host to clownfish...Often a clown gets eaten...especally if its going to be a small fish in a large condy...yummy.

Thanks for your help. I won't get a clown for it....what type do you recommend for a clown. Also the darn condi keeps crawling under a rock and hiding, shrivels up and looks almost dead. So I move it, it opens up looks healthy and when I come back from work its all shriveled up again and looks completely dead. Is this a suicidal anemone? Very strange if you ask me....Any advice would be welcome.
Have a 55g Ammonia 0 Nitrate 0 Nitrite o Ph 8.2 79.3 degrees, 2 power heads and lots of light.

What lighting do you have ? BTAs , LTAs , and carpets require moderate to intense lighting dependig on which species you want .

I have bright compact lighting I got with him when I bought him at the LFS the lfs seems very knowledgeable and aplogized for the scooter blenny food thing, he gave my free tigger-pods for him when he realized it was for the newer tank not the old one, can't remember exactly which lights they are right now. I find it strange he keeps running away from the lights. So do you think he will try to eat my fish if well fed? I am feeding silversides to it once to twice a week. I should be able eto have other fish in there right?

All anemones should be considered fish eaters. Nothing is really "safe" IMO however they do co-exist most times with no problems. As for "Bright Compact lighting" that is still no indication that you have sufficient lighting to support an anemone or corals for that matter. Bulb type and intensity is critical to the survival of all photosynthetic life in your tank.

I have PC lighting 130 watts of white, and another set of the blue...the anemone seems to be coming out of its stupor, arms are outstretched and it hasn't tried to hide since yesterday morning, hasn't eaten any of its tank mates yet either...
