clown and corals

taking a blue damsel out of tank over the week end - just killed our clown.
Is the clown just as bad as the damsel - who right now thinks the tank belongs to him. Though we have a blue hippo tang along with the damsel and they get along fine.
Before we get the damsel out and get another clown does the clown and corals get along? We want to make out tank into a reef tank.
Right now we have a blue damsel (yellow tail), blue hippo tang and starfish.

Clowns won't bother corals unless they accept one as a host and treat it roughly. Other than that the corals would be fine.

thanks i am going to get that damsel out. Do we have to let the tank settle again before we get any more fish?

If the tank got stirred up... let it settle, and if the water parameters are okay you can add another fish.
