Clown Dance

So i wake up this morning and water in my tank is cloudier then usual, so i decided to observe my fish and noticed that my two clowns are dancing in the sand and now my live rock is covered in sand anyone know wth they are doing %%

One is being submissive to the other. It shouldn't cause a sand storm though. How long have you had them?

I bought some live rock about a week ago and they were included in the price they have been together for about 8 months so I was told. They both move their tail very rapidly over the sand sometimes at the same time

anyone know if they are planning to mate maybe?

My to Percula Clowns have been doing the same thing. My LFS guy said they were bedding. I figured thats what they were doing. Watching mine the male will come close to the female and he will shake and shake then dip down to the sand bed and flutter. The big female will also dip down and thrash her tail in the sand. I did a video of them and will post it on youtube maybe today. Really neat to watch.

Mine have exhibited the same behavior in an effort to "intimidate" other inhabitants that come to their side of the tank...to the point that they have reached the glass bottom of the tank in their corner.

hmm.. i thought my clown was weird when he sleeps laying across the top of the magnet part of a hydor powerhead

Is it always in the same spot? They will clear a spot to lay eggs.

Yeah its always in a corner of a tank should i add a Plant Pot?
