just wondering if feeding them frozen mysis every other day would be bad for them... I am trying to get them off the flake just because I hear it adds phosphates that I dont want in there.
thanks

i dnt think it would be bad but you should be throwing a variety of food in there. i would reccomend making your own food i did it and it is great easy and cheap, i bought a filet of fish, come clams, shrimp and squid mixed with fozen algae and ran them through a cheese grater and my clowns love it.

Yes to what the others said and mysis is an excellent food, I feed it along w/good quality pellets and Rods. I find it convienent to buy my fish food frozen. Fresh seafood for the nems, is this showing partiality? Opps!

Mysis, while very high in protein lack the HUFA/omega-3's that are needed because they are a fresh water shrimp. A good addition to a diet, but not a sole diet.
If you use fresh seafood, be sure to get the most natural.. Whole shrimp with heads brains eyeballs, tails, whole squid, whole..... Be sure to rinse, rinse and rinse some more. Even the freshest seafoods often come packed in tripolyphosphate. Also add some seaweeds because they are very important
