Clown dominant/submissive behavior

Just curious, but here goes . . .
Had one oci clown in our tank (Let's call her Lucy) for a while, then introduced another oci clown (Call him Desi) little less than a month ago, hoping they'll pair (Hence the names). While they're not inseperable, they do spend a fair amount of time together, often bedding down in the same spot at night.
I know there should be a significant size difference if a pairing is desired, but Desi (probably just a hair under 2") is not a whole lot smaller than Lucy (about 2-1/4"). However, Desi sometimes displays some particular behaviors when Lucy is nearby . . . he'll arch his body sideways (like he's making a tight turn) and roll a little bit, as well as ocassionally shuddering. Is this a submissive behavior on his part, displaying his acceptance of Lucy as the dominant fish?
Lucy certainly is the dominant fish, once in a while she'll dart at Desi, but always stops short of actually colliding with him (She also does this with our chormis, especially when she thinks it's time to be feed, like she's staking out her turf at the supper table). And to his credit, Desi does hold his ground (water?) and doesn't dash away.
Just want to know more about the fish.
