Well im wathcing my tank and I just turned my lights off and my clown is laying on its side agianst my live rock. When I get up to look closer, he quickly moves back to swimming around. Is this normal or is it a bad sign? I have never seen him do this before.

mine does that. he does it as soon as i turn the lights off, like he's going to bed... same spot every night... and sometimes he'll do it during the day.
but he is fine and so is my water

Is he breathing hard? Yes please try to post your perameters. One of our most tell tale signs of a possible problem is when our fish do things we are not accustomed to see doing.

mine do the same thing.. lights go out. they go to the top of the tank near the conor and stay in one spot and move fast.. then little later go to the bottom of the tank. Each night same spot.. and some times i see them lie up against the rock or glass.. as if they are dormat or sleeping..
i would call that normal what they are doing..
kind of neat to see them in the sleeping area each night...

Normal... they do the same thing in anemones. The clown is probably hosting that rock. I have heard of wierder. Does he/she get defensive everytime another fish is around it?

Our Clowns love to go to the top behind the heater and below the filter to sleep. But if something happens in the tank after hours they wake up and are right there checking it out. My clowns are soooo nosey though!!

My water parameters are fine, but my sg is a little high at 1.028. He doesn't breath hard, and he does seem to be chasing my clown goby away when he gets close to the specific part of the rock. Thanks for the help!
