Clown Fish alone?

Hello, My question is can a clown fish be buy himself or is it better to get a pair. I have one chromis will they get along?

haw big is your tank? and what kind of clownfish are you thinking of? If the tank is more than 15g i would say get a pair to go with your chromis though they could pick on each other but chromis' are usually not agressive

Ocellaris should be fine, but what do you mean by there isnt alot of room, is the only other fish you have is the chromis' or are there other fish in there, lots of LR? or somthing else?

I dont have alot of live rock. What I meant was I dont want to much aggression between them. I did have two chromis but this one would not let the other one eat. Ihope this one wont be as aggressive with the clowns.

they are all damsels, if you get 2 clowns, make sure to get one a little bit larger than the smaller one (will help make the dominate one turn to a female) and thus a 'pair' and would be better against the chromis I think,, just depends, worst case scenario, take out the chromis, don't wanna tank with only one fish in it right?

I hear you, Even though chromis are in the damsel family you are told they are " non- aggressive". Well mabe I should have gotten that yellow tail.
