ok i got a new clown and he establish pretty well after few hour as well as my blue hippo tang. the think is that after 12 hour the clown wich was usually with the other clown just separate and start swimming up and down in the corner of the tank as well as the hippo. i understand the hippo because they behave like if it is in drug. it is so funny. but my clown he is making the same think the hippo does. "well nothing good stick" but i dont know if this is normal in both of them. yuo should see them they look so funny

my damsle did the same thing. So i added more rocks and plants and then he statred to swim around them and not the corner of the tank. Add more coral, plants, rocks, ect. Mine has been living in a plastic plant i got 2 few days ago and he is now comming out of it and swimming around.
There might also be to many fish and he just wants to hid from them so he goes to the top of the tank.

by "out" do you mean back to the lfs? grr i hate people that do that. They buy fish cuz they look cool even though they dont have the tank to support the needs of that fish.. if you arent taking it back then ignore what i just said.

well first of all a good thing to do b4 u get a fish is research it and then you wont end up in situations like the one you are in. and second i never said it was your fault i just think its mean to buy a fish keep it until you dont like it ne more and then send it back to the lfs where it will prolly die because it is older and most ppl dont want an older fish. and dont take it personally i never said i hated u i said ppl in general that do that nor did i say it was your fault. and i also said if you were moving it to a bigger tank then disregard my comment

hey no problem it not personal. but when you go to a pet sho you expect the gusy them to know. i know this because i work in a pet shop. and i did some research but non of them gave me like a solid information about the special need of the fish, just perosnal opionions. i no im not returning my fish to the lfs. i know they dont take care of the fishes there so defenetly his no t going there. i prefere to spend more money getting a new bigger tank were they feel confortable, if they are happy ill be happy

Just because people make bad decisions don't assume they didn't research it. If you look at the fish description on this site, as oppossed to most fish sites it does not talk about the size tank needed for a hippo tang, but it does say min size for other fish. If I were to read about 1 fish and the description says it needs more than a 55 gallon tank, then go to another fish and it does not mention the size of the tank needed, I woul d think a 55 would be okay. Remeber that research does not always lead people to this message board, which I find very helpfull.
