I added a clown goby last saturday and he eats but it seems sporadic. He wolfed down some brine shrimp last night but I fed some frozen omnivore food tonight and the other goby went nuts and he just seemed to pick at the food - and only ate one little bit that I saw ..... so to my questions:
1 - do clown gobies like food that sinks and doesn't move much?
2 - what do you feed your clown goby?
3 - is one or two bites a night enough?
Trites, trates and ammonia @ 0 PH @ 8.2 salinty @ 1.023
ONly other tank mates are a banded/shrimp goby and a scarletreef crab and a snail - all very small and there is no one competing for the food with the clown goby
any help is appreciated!

Our green Clown Goby eats any meaty food we throw in the tank. He doesn't seem to need more than 2 or three bites of food to hold him over till the next feeding. I don't think he needs as much food as active fish since he just sits around in our finger and umbrella leather corals. They like foods that float close by them so they don't have to swim too far to catch it.:p

I've had a clown goby for about six months now and I feed the tank a mix of mysis and enriched brine twice a week and a small pinch of spirulina flake once a week. He's not an active feeder of the mysys and brine and rarely touches the flake. I read that they feed on phyto plankton in the water colum and I do feed the tank DT's once a week so maybe that is how he is feeding.

I have a couple that eat almost anything. But they never do eat tons. They just zip around and grab some low floating pieces. Done after a few bites.
