Clown Goby - where is he?

I got a clown goby last night. Drip acclimated him for about 30 minutes.
He came out of the bag, swam a little and perched himself near my overflow box. I left for 2 hours, and when I came back I couldn't find him. No problem, will find him tomorrow.
Now, it has been about 20 hours and I haven't seen him again.
I am a bit worries. Do they burrow in sand? Any trick to lure him out?
Thanks,
Felipe

I have a clown goby in my tank they love to hide on corals and in your rock display. I f you can try moving your rocks around if you are very concerned, otherwise it may be a few days until you see it make its appearence as they are somewhat shy fish.

Give em time. Some of those clown gobys are pretty darn shy initially. I bought three awhile back as they make an excellent NANO or PICO tank sized fish. The green clown hit the water when released, and was not seen again in a 2 gal pico tank flor close to a week. Same thing with the yelow clown, but at least he was pretty visible even though he thought he was hiding.(Perched up and behind the heater control knob in a corner) Same for the yellow clown I added in the 16 gal tank.....I just about gave up on him then spotted him one day just picking pods off the lower back glass. Now they are always front and foremest when it comes to feeding, and can usually be seen perched in their favorite spots. Just give em some time.

Did you take him out of the bag with a net? Never let any water from an LFS into your tank.It can have copper in it which can kill inverts.
