I guess it's the way she approaches it. Every once in awhile, it will close up on her but...she sits there and waits patiently for it to come back out.

Clowns Are Awesome To Watch, I Have To Perc's That Will Go In Anything, They Go In My Flower Pot Corals, My Xenia, And Feather Duster's, Anything Flowing And They Are There!!! Awesome Pics Of Her Going In!!!! Try A Flower Pot Coral, She'll Love It.

Hey Hot883, nice pic....I noticed in the other thread you said your LTA was 3" away, do you notice the clown going their if your feather has closed?? I just noticed that my clarki is going to my zoos (believe it or not) which is right next to my feather, when my feather disappears on her.
Fishwilly1, that's what I'm starting to get too!! Isn't it amazing to watch these little characters?? Now the clown that was hosting my feather duster is now hosting my zoos when the feather closes on her. I guess I'm just lucky since I don't have the lighting to have anemones!! Some people wait forever for this!!

here is mine when he was in my FOWLR 75g.
this is the second one he hosted. the FD eventually died from stress / starvation.
over a few months time, the crown began to not come out all the way, the feathers began to fade. then one day, it was dead. these were very hardy feather dusters that i had living happily for many months, and even survived a full tank move.
