Clown irritating my RBTA

Could my clown love his RBTA too much???? It has not been puffing up too much and I am wondering if it's because he NEVER leaves it alone.

Absolutely beautiful anemone. Yes your clown can definately kill your anemone from hosting too agressively. What type of clown do you have? Either way your clown IMO is too large for that anemone. Which may cause irritation and possible death long-term.

he is a true perc, still a juvenille and the anem is not that big either... It was doing better until stuey found him. He burrows and shakes in it and I am thinking he may need to be moved. Stuey won't leave that corner of the tank.

Generally speaking, you should always let the anemone get settled in and grow to a decent size prior to adding the clown. If you add the clown then the anemone, the clown may host it prior to it getting 'settled in' and finding a place it likes. Also it should be much larger than the clown.

There you go. I'm glad everything is going well for you, perhaps when the bta gets a bit larger (i would say 5 or 10 times larger than the anemone) you can reintroduce them into the same tank. With proper lighting and supplimental feedings the anemone will grow really quick.

I am feeding him about once a week plus what he gets on his own from the tank feeding. They are still in the same tank, just moved him away from stuey my true perc since he refuses to leave the safety of the overflow box and his trusty bed-time buddy my mag float. In fact he freaks out when I clean the glass and forget to put it back in "his" spot
