clown-looks like bruise- in hypo

I have fish in hypo due to ich. Yesterday was the last day so I am upping salt. The clowns have not been eating for about 5 days, so this was before water changes. The water all tested perfect. It looks like bruises on both sides under fins and he is getting thinner. the other clown does not have these but is not eating either. I looked under diseases but didn't see anything like this. I would think someone hit him but it is the same on both sides. I have tried brine, rod's food (with garlic) and flakes. Any suggestions?

That is what I thought but there aren't any issues with them getting along. What bothers me is that it is also on the other side, same place.

He is in qt (coming out of hypo)with 8 others right now. What should I do at this point. The other fish don't go back into DT for two more weeks. How in the world would he get a bacterial infection, there isn't much if anything in the tank.

The crowded conditions in the tank, more than they are used to, could have weakened their immune system resulting in the infection. Bacteria is always present in the water. When conditions are less than ideal infections set in. When a fish is infected the bacteria reproduce more. Do some water changes in the QT. Are the clowns eating at all?

I thought they were starting to eat this evening but I had to leave so i couldn't sit and watch them. I will in the morning. as far as water changes go, I am doing alot of that trying to get the salt back up to normal.

Good, the water changes will remove some of the bacteria that are attacking the fish. If you get them to eat then dose a rotation of Vitachem and Zoecon on one meal per day to help build up their immune system.

I already have some Zoecon so I will give them some of that this morning and get some vita-chem this afternoon. Thanks for your help, and I will let you know what happens.

Maracyn 2 for SW fish is a fantastic medication but this person has all of her fish in QT because hypo is being performed on the display. I don't think that medicating all of them is beneficial unless the OP cannot get the clowns to begin healing on their own.

I just went in to feed them and thought I would give flakes a try today. The clowns (well, all the fish) went crazy eating. I can't tell if the spot is better but he is eating. They are due to go back to DT Saturday the 16th. If the spot is still there but he is eating, should I leave him in qt or move with the rest of the fish. I am hoping it will be gone by then. I was considering an extra week just to be sure ich was gone.
