clown mate?

I was just wondering I have a false percula and I was wondering is there another type of clown that would make a good mate, I was just trying to keep some variety in the tank, so I wondered if they were best suited with another false perc or if they could mix well with another type of clown. Thanks for the info!

If you read my post on the reef board it tells all about how to get two fish to get along. and i think there's a link about matting them. I'll see if i can find it.

Do you want anthoer Perc? If it's smaller than yours you can add it right away. You'll know within two days whether they're both the same ---. They'll chase each other around all day. If that's the case take the new one back and try another. They'll beceom a mated pari after a while.
As far as adding a different type of clown - Clarkii (again not the same size) have been known to be compatible with Percs when there's space and an anemone for each to play in.

I would not suggest mixing two different clown species. One will more than likly kill the other. On the other hand if you are interested in adding another false perc, you certainly can. I found if you add a perc of a different size than your current clownfish it will work. If you have a small one now, add a larger one and vice versa. They may test each other at first, but i find in most cases they will become best friends. HTH
