Clown not helping my BTA eat. Sugestions?

Anytime I try to feed my anemone my clown plays with the food and moves it around until the point that it finally gets dropped and he can't eat unless I can chase the clown around until it gets a chance to eat. what can I do?
Also, every time i feed regular fish food the clown drags some food down and drops it into the anemone. I don't know if he is feeding him or storing food to be greedy? Will an anemone eat regular fish food?

Clowns dont like it when you feed the anemone. Thats their job. So, when you see them taking food to the anemone, they are feeding them. Anemones dont always eat. They also get their food source from the elements you add plus light and feedings by the clowns.

I feed my clowns first and then the anemones . I have one pair that hosts their anemone but won`t feed it . All my others feed their anemones when I drop a piece of silversides or table shrimp in the water . As for the clowns not liking you feeding the anemone , it`s more a territorial issue as you are invading their home . I spot feed the anemones that my clowns won`t feed .
Feed your clowns and then drop in some silversides or shrimp [make sure the piece is no bigger than the nems mouth] and see if your clown will feed it .

He will take food to the anemone but he takes it out and moves it around a bunch of times to the anemone doesn't have time to eat it. It is like he is teasing it. He is a punk really. I have chased the clown around the tank while the anemone eats and that works but it is a pain.

Oh no all you poor folks with clowns hosting powerheads and veggie clips, i'm sorry to say it does'nt look good for them.

lol. They can be a pain at times, but got to love em still. I may have missed it, is it a Maroon? Percula?

Clowns arent usually actually feeding the anemones, but like Cody said, they are storing it until the rest of the food that is available in the water column has disappeared. I rarely spot feed my anemones, but I doo feed the whole reef heavily enough so that the anemones are able to get some of the food. whether its from the clowns, or from what the clowns left past them

i was having trouble too. what i did is i melted brine shrimp in the tank water sucked it up with the bastor and shot it into the anomie. I think it was the coolest thing i had ever seen. it will eat because you really dont have to get too close to it the shrimp shoots out vigorus and far
