Clown or Anemone?

I would like to have a hosted Anemone, but my question is...will a clown host one if its introduced months after they are? My tank is new and I have heard its not a good idea to buy an Anemone before the tanks is matured a bit. I would like to get a mated pair of clowns for my first fish. Anyone??

Wait till your experienced and your tank is mature but even then there is no guarantee they will host

Everyone is right, there is no guarantee that the clown will host in the anenome. However, to specifically answer your question, adding the clown first and the anenome later doesn't decrease the likely-hood of the clown hosting in the anenome. You can add the clown now and get the anenome later.
