I posted this in the clown forum butthink I will probably get a quicker response over here.
I came home from work this evening and found one of my clowns hanging out near the bottom and just to the left of the eye there is a gash. He seems to be ok he even became very active when I fed Brine Shrimp. I've only had them since Tuesday. Water parameters are:
Salinity - 1.025
Nitrites - 0
Nitrates - 0
Ammonia - 0
Alkalinity - 4.5
Phos - .2 (Working to get that down)
The white splotches are from the tank they are not on the clown.

your clown was probably startled and collided with a rock. Dose food with garlic to boost immune system against infection. Will be ok shortly

I would suggest in feeding the clowns more then just brine shrimp!!! It does not have enough nutrition for the fish!!! You need to feed numerous different types of diet for those clowns. Research on fish foods, bad food quality give you bad fish quality. Quality of food does matter as I experiment it myself and with better quality of food, my fish enhanced coloration and more active then on bad quality food. :happyfish

I agree brine is like eating burger king. Mysis shrimp provides way better nutrition but i will be honest my two percs have thrived for years on omega one super veggie flakes! I'm lazy and cheap and all my fish love the stuff. With the exception of the occasional krill hand feedings.

I knew this would come up when I mentioned Brine Shrimp!
I do have other stuff that I feed I just wanted to give them something I knew they would eat. Just to be sure he was ok in that department.

Does that mean they don't eat the other stuffs?? You need to find something that they will eat. Get some frozen bar of cyclopeeze, they will LOVE that stuff!!! :happyfish

No, I gave them Premium Reef a couple of nights earlier and they ate that up as well.

Actually if you want your fish to thrive none of the above mentioned foods is going to be enough. They (all salt fish) need a large variety of food. Foods they would find in the ocean. Instead of buying 20 different foods. Go with formula foods that already have the variety included. Formulas one and two and prime reef, dosed with vitachem, selcon, zoe in rotation will keep your fish healthy and happy. Also I agree that brine shrimp is like Burger King!!!! No nutritional value, but a tasty treat.

I didn't understand what he meant when he replied before. Of course formula foods are great, but freshly prepared foods are good as well. I feed mine formula foods, but mentioned cyclopeeze cause it is a lot better then brine shrimp!!! :happyfish
