Clown sad?

Just recently one of my two clown fish died...well, came up missing and i never found him. The one that is left is staying up in his corner and only eating the food that floats to him. Should i get another clown so he can be happy again?

I just went through this same predicament and like yours, my small clown just wasn't quite the same. Didn't swim around the tank like he was and just kind of hung out in the same spot. Got him a new friend 2 weeks ago and he's back to cruising the tank and appears much more energetic. The clown I added was twice his size so I didn't have any issues and the 2 have paired up nicely (the other clown that died was the larger female so I wanted to just keep things the way they were).

yes, but avoid getting one close to the same size and stay with the same type of clown.

my lfs might not have a clown of the same species that is bigger but they will have one that is smaller. think this would work just as well? thanks for the input

yes, smaller would be ok but get the same type of clown you have in your tank.
