Clown sick

Well I moved my rocks around and changed the look of my tank and corals. My tank is around 10-11 months old. When I finished and everything cleared up my Ocellaris clown wasnt using his right fin. So I thought he just might have hurt it during the rearanging. That was a couple of days ago. I put him in my fuge away from the rest of the fish and now he looks terrible. He is breathing heavy and laying on the sand propped up. I don't know what is wrong. I think he was too stressed out but do you think he will be ok. I havnt lost any fish. and my paramaters are all in check. He doesnt have cloudy eyes, not sluffing white stuff. One thing I am worried about is that since he doesnt swim very well he can't get to the food and he gest scared of the scewer.

Well since no one has even taken a guess i will try. Maybe theres not enought oxygen in the water. The fuge is a low flow place and there might not be enough oxygen. You might try setting up a small powerhead so its going along the top of the water. Like i said just a guess. Don't laugh at me......

I have a powerhead in there its 170 gph. That should be enough. I think he may be laying down due to his fin. But he isnt eating. I try the scewer but he is scared of it. I placed food at the top but he doesnt go after it. Do you think it would be better if I euthanize him??

Well I walk in today and he isn't breathing heavy, and is sort of active for a fish with a hurt fin. He isn't laying on his side and is actually swimming. I think he will be OK if I can get him to not be so afraid of the scewer.

Also It wasn't an open cut.

Today I noticed he is using both fins and it seems to be well again. I still havent seen him eat, but i guess he's eating something. How long can a fish live without eating.

Is he still in the fudge? If so, he is proably eating pods, etc.
Not eating is an indication of a problem. Fish can live a very long time, even very ill, wo eating. That really isn't the issue, though. The issue is: Is he eating? You need to be sure one way or the other. If he is not eating, you may need to follow Terry's suggestion above.

Yeah he is in the fuge. I'll try and get him to eat real quick and i'll report back.
