As far as I know they do sleep; however, they don't have eyelids so you can't really tell. My false percula likes to hang by the PH too; he just kinda hovers there, vertically, and wiggles. It also darker there so I assume he sleeping.

My Clowns have slept horizontally, vertically, upside down, sideways, etc. And always behind a power-head or the in-take and out-flows of my Fluval. Fish probably don't "sleep" as we humans understand it, but they definitely enter into a state of unconsciousness (at least as they understand it) to recharge.

my maroon also sleeps. it only sleeps when the lights to the tank are off and he knows its time to sleep. before when my powerhead for my eclipse was lower he slept under the heater now he found a place in the rocks and he just sleeps anyway. pretty cool watching it

Most marine fish, if not all marine fish, sleep. They prefer a place where the current is not strong or very slow.

Also, they may change color or bleach when they sleep. I once had about 6 juvenile clowns that slept one on top of the other--apile ofclowns on their sides. The first time I saw this behaviour I thought they had all deis overnight.

Hmm, my tank-raised false percula clown hovers around the back of my nanocube basically all night. He's the only fish I've had that doesn't go sleep in the live rock (except for my lionfish in my 75, he doesn't fit in the rock
) It's awesome how the fish's colors are so different after the lights go out, especially the Yellow Tang with the brown/white line down the middle, its sweet
