Clown Spots?

My Clown of three months has developed three black dots on its body (not on fins). It does not look like black ich from pictures on the web. A new clown was introduced two weeks ago but it is totally spot free. Appetite and behavior appear normal. Any ideas?

Do you have anything at all in your tank that might sting? It sounds like Hyper-Melaninization to me. Take a look at the pictures in the diseased fish FAQ to identify what he has.

You should know that they are scars and will darken with age.
