clown suddenly eating anemone

I've had a tomato clown and bubble tip anemone in my tank for several months. All has been well until out of no where the clown is biting off pieces of the poor anemone :scared: . Why would he begin to do that :notsure: ? I can't imagine the anemone surviving this harrassment and due to its location, I can't remove it from the tank without killing it. Any advice?

I remember reading about this a while ago, and I think it's just a weird thing clowns sometimes do, but you might want to post this on the Clown/Anemone tab to see if any one there knows more on the subject. :thinking:
