Hello everyone!

This massage bored rocks!
Ok I have a newly cycled 125Gal .
I was thinking about getting a clown tang, this site says they are difficult?
How difficult are they?
Right now I have 3 chromes and a Moorish idol
I am thinking of the fallowing fish for the tank;
A flam angle
Blue hippo tang
Clown tang or gold rim tang?
Purple tang or blue spotted kole tang
Bluehead wrasse
any advice?

How's your idol doing? Got any pics? Well, I am not sure what a bluehead wrasse is but you could have 3 tangs in a 125. So really you could do the bluehead wrasse, what you already have, hippo tang, goldrim tang, and a purple tang. You could maybe do one more smaller fish, but you'd be almost at max.

WOW! He looks awesome...at first I thought he looked sick, but then I looked closer and figured out it was just the glass. What is he eating? How long have ya had him? I'll buy him from ya! Seriously!

Thanks!......yea it is the glass I should have cleaned it before taking the pics.
Any way I only have had him a couple of days he/she? Is still very shy.
I got it a LFS they said these guys don’t ship well hence the NOT GARANTED if you buy it from this site. But he was doing great they had him for about two –three weeks and he was eating well……I am feeding it the formula mix frozen and blood worms. When I feed it hides so I don’t see it eat, however when I check back the food is gone! =)
Just a little shy.
As far a selling it I am not going to put this beautiful fish through that, it’s had enough moving around. And besides we would have to ship it over night and that would be expensive! But thanks for the offer!

Not only do they not ship well they have a HORRIBLE survival record in captivity with over 95% dying within a year and many more shortly after one year.
Your system is too small to house three adult size tangs. They most likely will eventually fight leading to disease, injury and/or death.
Make sure your water parameters remain constant and are pristine..a must for Idols. Also, they require plenty live rock. and hopefully your system is mature..ie at least one year old.
They spook very easily so any drop in water quality can send them to a quick death. Also, any aggressors in the system will also stress them and can send them to a quick death. These fish can be eating one hour and dying the next. The end can and often does come swiftly. Hopefully your local fish store advised you of this so you made an informed purchase.
Also, juvenile Idols from Hawaiian waters have a very slight decrease in death rate ie...they do a LITTLE better.

I forgot to mention CLown Tangs also do not have a good surviival rate although higher then Idols. If they settle in and grow (if they live) ...they can be very aggressive as they mature.
