Hey, I have a regular clown fish in my tank. Everytime I have my hand in the tank to clean it the clown always nips at me. Are they known for this?
Regular clownfish? Do you mean ocellaris?
To answer your question YES. It will get worse for you in the future when they are larger. They see you as a threat for their territory. They do have teeth and in the future you may need to wear gloves as they are known to draw blood
Mine nip too. Don't worry about it right now, they don't have a taste for human flesh, they are just defending what is rightfully theirs. You didn't think you were the owner of the tank did you?
i have a 6inch ish maroon clown, and she is evil,,, i mean bites bites bites,, she has bitten through a pair of gloves, she is more aggressive than my triggers

How weird...Mine are the opposite...I think they know I have the food
I really think they would eat right out of my hand too...I can even pet them (if I wanted to)
How old are they? Mine used to swim through the tunnels I would make with my hands...so cute.
Now that the female is older, she just bites my hands.
