You will have to treat the ich, as well as treating all the other fish that have been exposed to the infected fish. Do you have a quarantine tank?

nope not yet but i do plan on getting one, but putting him in a qt tank is not in the equasion any way though clown juvis have a high mortality rate so hes staying put
my cleaner shrimp has been working on him today ALOT so hope fully that helps
alot of people say that it dosent help but i had a domino damsel before with white stuff all over it, and when the cleaner shrimp got done with it in about 3 or 4 weeks it was gone

Why do you ask for advice, and then not take it when offered. Beth is right. If the fish has ich, it needs to be treated, along with the other fish. Biological cleaners like shrimp will do nothing in a heavy infestation. You already lost one baby trigger last week, and you were advisded of the high death rates. So you buy another

If the fish lives, it won't take anywhere near two years for it to eat your shrimp or other fish. Good luck with your tank.

Domino damsels are very hardy fish. If a fish's immune system is already batteling ich then it is quite easy for the shrimp to pick off the ich while the fish continues to fight. A fish that already has a high mortality rate is not going to be so lucky. You should seriously pull this and any other fish in your system out and into a qt tank. If you do not, the ich are going to continue to breed and infest. Get the qt set up ASAP.

no need my 2nd clown trig in the last week was laying on its side this morning.
i dont think it was because of ick though, my fox face is letting out some kind of secretion like shedding or some thing but it looks like its coming from its venomus spines.
i think that had alot to do with it
plus my fox face dosent have any ick on it, wouldnt my fox face have ick also if it was going on in my tank???
the clown trig just had little spots on its swimming fins but no where else on its body actual body im not really even sure if it was ick it may have been some kind of fungus cause i think ick wouldnt just stay on the fins would it??
im hoping the trigger i found to day was the onefrom last week and one of the hermits drug it out but i seriously doubt it..
it would be nice if this site would get some GOD DAMN juvi clown trigs in so i could order them and get a guarentte.
oh well Friday im getting another 1, but from a different dealer, and i will keep buying them until i succeed.
thanks for the advice though but now that i think of it i dont think it was ick!! i dont know though

So the guarantee would let you continue getting them even if they died? So now two have died in your tank, even having been told they are difficult to keep, but you'll keep trying until you succeed? How many would have to die before you took someone's advice?

no more will have to die because i have decided that my eco system isnt established enough for a high mortality rate fish
no its not the money i got money to burn seeing as this hobby is my only hobby aside for my xbox 360 and ps3 i want a clown juvi but i think im gonna wait until i start seeing coraline aalgae and until i get a few more fish in there before i add another clown but it will be before the summers over but thanks for the advice.
and instead of spending the money on another clown trig im gonna use it on a quarintine tank
do you guys think a 29 gallon or a 10 gallon would be better??
what kind of filtration for a quartine tank should i have, and is there any kind of clean up crew i should add???
would i need live rock a pound per gallon
i really wouldnt wanna put a sump on it
can you tell me what all i would need please
SEE I AM FOLLOWING YOUR ADVICE which for me as you can tell is not the easiest thing to do
but i do thank you guys!!!

That is a very wise decision. If you are getting a quarantine tank and have a choice between a 10 and 29, go with the 29.
You cannot put live rock or any clean up crew in there.
The tank should be bare bottom with some fake decorations or some PVC piping.
You will need a hang on the back filter and a heater to keep the tank running.

I fully agree. You have to quarantine and treat the rest of your fish though. You have ich in your system. You will lose fish after fish if you do not treat the source of the problem. After you have hypo'd all of the fish and allowed the DT to remain fishless for 6 weeks then you will be ready to buy new fish. QT them for a minimum of 3 weeks, 4 is better.

thanks guys its in the making
what type of media do i use in the hang on the back filter just regular fresh water media?????
do i need a skimmer???

No skimmer needed, and you just need a pad and some carbon in the hang on. You would take the carbon out though if there is ever a time when you need to medicate.
