Clown Trigger and a 55G

First off, I know that a 55 is nowhere near big enough to house a clown for life. I do have an extra 55G right now, and with plans of a fuuture 240G+tank, thought I'd try a marine set-up now to get accustomed to their husbandry needs.
I've really wanted a clown trigger, and while it may or may not end up in the big tank, I'd like to get one now. I figure I may get clown trigs outta my system, or sell it, or put it in a bigger separate tank down the road.
Anyway, here's the question. In a FOWLR set-up, about how long could a clown trigger last before an upgrade is needed. This is assuming a purchase size of 3-4". There would be little to most probably no tankmates.
Thanks,
J

Purchase a juvie really small, dont put in any other tank mates or inverts, and let him grow. A nice setup of live rock with lots of overhangs/ swimthroughs and archways will do the trick. These can become footballs though, so good luck. The juvies are super cute though. Just remember, wen they are done being cute, they are ready to become vicous! It will do fine if purchased at 1" for at least a year, at 3-4", less than a year.

I forgive yer stubborness, u live in alabama. But, I WORK at the aquarium. No degree, me being still in high skool. I help feed the animlas and clean the tanks. Its kinda a... volunteer type of thing.

Oh ok but you living in Conn. you might be taught wrong. We spell skool, school in Alabama. I think that is the proper way (and right) way to spell it.

Ok you are too slow chandler and imature so I am through playing with you. I come to this board to get help and to help people, not criticize them. Just remember you dont own this site and you are not an expert by any means so next time be nice and forgiving to people. It just might help you out in years to come.

Wow.
Who'd of thought so little could be answered in 11 replies?
Anyone else care to weigh in with a response, as long as they're not from Alabama or Conneticut?

Wow, I dint notice that that person was still trying to insult me after that. I was just ignoring them. Anyway, read what I first put in before that person started to get obnoxious. Very sorry, but I didnt want that to happen. Get a REALLY tiny one. They come VERY VERY small, Ive seen em the size of a quarter before, and they are totally cool. Put it in the 55 ALONE, if you want it to grow. Get attatched so you feel better spending the money on a new tank. LOL. Thats my input

Chandler you are the obnoxious one. Everytime I read one of your replys you are usually a smarta$$. Anyway,Down my experience with triggers has always been a good one. They are tough fish so you should be fine with most in a 55..IMO. I housed a niger for about 4 years in my old 55 with no problems.
