There's a good list of foods for him above, are you adding vitamins? (selcon, etc). As to feeding clams: pry open a fresh clam and toss it in; be sure to remove the leftovers after a few hours. BTW, this is an excellent way to get finicky new fish (or fish on short hunger strike eating. IME, if a trigger won't eat a freshly shucked clam, he probably won't eat anything...unless he's been ruined by feeding live fish.
