Slackjaw I am glad that you could use my 75 as a sump .
There is a beautiful humu humu in there and he is perfectly fine . You see I don't over stock my tanks . There for the humu humu and the damsel that are in there are doing fantastic .
The last person that I would take advice from is you . There is a bigger tank waiting as soon as we move . Not that I need it for a while . You see I actually have experience with the fish I have , Not a few months worth either. I know how fast my humu humu will grow and I know how long I have before it out grows my 75 .
Again it will be fine because it is the only big fish in a tank that is NOT
overstocked . It's doing awesome on its diet of frozen shrimp and VEGGIES. I know How could I do such a thing as feed my fish a well rounded diet. Funny thing is he prefers the "veggie" cubes over the meat cubes. But I guess thats my whimpy trigger thats anything but aggressive . You see I picked the humu humu not for its reputation as a meat eater but simply because its a beautiful fish. I enjoy it the way it is with out having to watch it rip apart its food .
Every post you make shows disrespect to those of us trying to help people with questions . We (responsible fish keepers) give advice that is on the safe side . But you advise to throw caution to the wind as well as money at fish . You base your opinions on a few months of keeping fish . You argue your points with out even realizing you have yet to reach milestones in your tanks maturity . Sucess is not mesured in months or in how much you have spent on your fish .
I honestly don't understand why you come here ? Everybody from the expiereanced keepers to the new members have rejected your IDEAS/OPINIONs. Even moderators have tried to stear you in a more positive direction and you continue to show disrespect to all . Your Ideas/Opinions go against not just a few but 99.99999% of fishkeepers.
I honestly hope that you never get banned simple as it is you are just a great example to all the new comers as to what not to do with your tank . Your attitude has swayed more to the side of responsible keeping than any lecture we could give them . You start typing and people see what kind of person you are and they realize the diference between resposible inteligent fish keeping and iresponsible careless fish keeping. So please continue to post your opinions and ideas . Keep preaching the joys of feeding live food. As annoying as it is your doing us more help than harm .

Why the hate?Slack you on a island!!Seen your pics, nice tank good luck.

easy everybody..easy.. I get the point. I think I'm going to skip triggers all together. So next question, would a Lion and a puffer, along with an eel (probably a snowflake eel) be alright together in a 100 gallon tank. I currently have a foxface who is starting to get a little large in my 55 gallon who will move into my 100 gallon. So the stock list for the 100 gallon would look like this..
Volitan Lionfish, Snowflake Eel, Foxface Lo, some kind of puffer, possibly porcupine puffer, or Blue Dot Puffer, and maybe some kind of wrasse, maybe a Goldbar or Pinkface Wrasse, and maybe one other kind of fish.
Does this sound overstocked, Understocked? Or does it sound just fine? The last thing I want is to have an overstocked tank. Thank you.

I wouldn't say its necessarily overstocking it but if the lion fish gets too wide he might outgrow the tank. I've heard of lion growing with fin spans up to almost two feet. A 100 gallon does sound big enough to me though unless you get a freakishly large lion from the lion fish that i've seen.

x2 on the lion. I wanted one for my 125, but had to pass because I felt the tank wasn't deep enough. The rest of the list sounds good though, perhaps think of something to replace the lion.

I would definately cut the Porky Puff out of the equation. They get big and are aggressive feeders that create a lot of waste...I am far from a Lion expert, but I would look at a Dwarf Lion of some sort, Volitans will outgrow a 100, look at a Fuzzy Dwarf, they are very cool....Volitans are not big swimmers, but they need a big tank to feel comfortable in.

I fully agree with this . Porkys can get big and will eat a lot . Maybe a FuMan Chu lion ?

So you really have no idea what your talking about ? You think the tiny bones in the minnows you feed grinds down the teeth of your triggers ?
