Wow, I just read below someone else who has a sebae clown with popeye! Well, I just looked into the tank tonight before shutting lights off and low and behold, my sebae clown has popeye. Never had a fish with this before. Will completely fess up and say my tank is in dire need of attention. I am sure my water params and not good, have been slacking on water changes and have lots and lots of algae growing in the tank. This fish did not have popeye yesterday, so whatever trauma happened, happened in the last 24 hours. No QT set up right now because I am not planning on adding anything to the tank. I have a 75 gallon tank with only 2 fish. Sebae clown and small yellow tang. These two have been in here together since February with no additions. I will do a water change tomorrow, add some vitamins into water tonight. Any other suggestions? The sebae is the more aggressive of the two fish. It tends to beat on the tang. This is why I will not be adding anything into the tank. This sebae has killed about $200 in fish. Very aggressive! Oh and I do have hermits and 2 star fish in the tank, and lots of coral. Thanks and sorry so long winded!

I would say with water changes and vitamins you are on the right track. Water conditions if good can clear it up...or so I hear. I personally would get a qt going and get it some maracyn II, Just in case this does not work, but that will take time...OH and as Sep taught me the other night...don't put maracyn II in the display, or you will kill all of your good bacteria

I decided to stay up and do the water change tonight. Tank was pretty dirty, so nice to see it looking better. I will do some more frequent water changes and see if it helps. Hoping to not have to do the medicine thing. We shall see what the morning brings. Thanks for the response!

Oh Sep, You dare not ask! I havent even tested because I dont want to know! I'm going to get back on track with regualar water changes, then we shall go down that road!
The clowns eye is not worse today, and may be a tad better. Hard to say. I have been so busy with all of my baby chicks and ducks, my poor tank has been neglected. I figured it coulnt be doing too bad since all the coral was thriving and the fish "had" seemed ok. Lesson learned, I'm back on it! Have to say, tank looks awfully purdy with all the algae scraped off the glass!
