I have two small percula clownfish, and i bought a nice sized bubble anemone, and i have four large condi anemone, does anyone know if there is a way to get the clowns to house in any of the anemones, they have been with the anemones for at least six months and haven't touched them

I tried putting a picture of a clown hosting an anemone on the tank for my clown to see. It hosted after about 3 months. It probably had nothing to do with the picture but it was worth a shot I guess.

I bought a bubble anenome last week and my percula went to his side of the tank but didn't swim in. He got real close and looked like hewanted too, I moved a rock that was touching the anenome out of the way and gave him a good amount of room. With in an hour he swam into the anenome.
Good luck.

First I hope you have a large tank for 4 anemones. Second you stand little to no chance of any of your clowns hosting the condi's it has happened in the past but its extremly rare. They are also notorius fish eaters and quite preditory IMO as far as anemones go, they can be as bad as carpets. The other problem you may face is if your clowns are wild caught, aquacultured or tank bred? If they are tank bred you IMO you also have little to no chance of them hosting. Most tank bred ocellaris are from ORA but there are numerous private facilities that supply LFS with tank raised clowns too. It just seems that over time and generations of clown frys that instinct to host gets suppressed. Although still possible, your chances are not as good as with wild caught. I have owned 5 ocellaris all tank raised and none took to any anemones I had. I bought 2 wild caught and they hosted in under a minute. Hope this helps.
