clownfish batting with tails

i got 1 clownfish to match my other. there both maroons.
when i walk over to look they will both swin to each other ad then tha male will start to shake( i know that is beign submissive) but then te femlae will like put her head on him and like nibble at him but not trying to hurt him and they will repeat this and swin away... what is happening?
I noticed they have been spending a little sleeping time in the corner togeather but i introduced him like a week ago...

Sounds fine, like the female has excepted the male, time will tell.

She is just telling him she likes him. My mated pair of maroons does this all the time.

I'm soooo jealous that you were able to mate your maroon clown fish. I have small one now (2") and would like to mate him once my tank is a little more stablized. How did you do it? Is your female much larger than your male? Did you put them into the tank at the same time? Did you move the rocks around?
Sorry about so many questions, I'm just trying to avoid having a dead bachelor on my hands. I've killed enough fish already... (ugggh..)

Just fyi they're not a mated pair. Right now they're just considered a bonded pair.

well right now there both roughly 2 inches also. but the female i a little bigger. the female had another clown which was a 1 inch male but he died of natual causes

i went to *****, mine has very knowledgeable people. there were 2 2 inch clowns in the tank with a lot of small ones. he could somehow tell they one was a male and gave him to me. i actually brought him home and caught the female. then i put the new male in for like 20 minutes for him to get aquanted with his new house then i put the female back in. first night his fins were a little torn up. but he was submissive the next day and now they sleep under the same moonlight togeather
