clownfish biting me

i have a 2.5inch sebae clown which live in his sebae anenome.. when i stick my hand in to adjust the powerhead in my 29 gallon he nips me like machine gun nip after nip after nip. hes a pitbull..i know* hes defending his home the anenome but i didnt know they got that aggressive.. anyone find this truewith any of there sebae clowns?

It's true... they are not aggressive. However, they can be territorial, especially when it comes to host anemones. My maroon bites me if I get too close to his BTA.

this isnt a clown but my lawnmower tears my hand up when i try to put something new in or move something arond

When I have my hand in the tank to feed the stars and other creatures shrimp or flakes the clown (I think the bigger one, but it could be both) bites me, just a little nip. I figure they want some too, but I feed them before I feed the creatures. Our two are perc's and don't have an anemone.
so i'd say normal behavior.

I had a similar disagreement with a Moray eel over who's tank it was several years ago. He won!

My lawnmower has taken a nip at me as well. My damsel then copied him. It has only happened recently and scared the crap out of me...wasnt expecting that!

My cinamon clone bit me, and i made a fist a chased hima away he does not bite me anymore but will come up to my hand.
