Clownfish Compatability

I have an empty 35 gallon tank. Well, empty as far as fish are concerned. I want to keep some clownfish. So---
Is it OK to keep 2 different kinds of clowns in the same tank? I was thinking of 2 perculas and 2 black and white perculas. Would they hurt each other even if they were introduced at the same time? Or should I just stick with 1 kind of clownfish?

Hey Squishy I have a question about what Dacia said. They are wanting 2 black and whites and two true. As long as they're both percs shouldn't that work? Just asking I just don't have the experience to know that yet.

I'm pretty sure you can mix percs of different colors. Just make sure they are percs and not black saddlebacks or something.....
I will say you may have a territory conflict because the percs will pair up most likely and have 2 seperate homes which they will defend from others...

Ok....
You can mix percs......
You can not mix other types of clowns unless your system is big enough and that usually means a 125.....
As with everything these are not set in stone rules and you may run into issues with any fish...
But if you wanted to mix a black and regular perc you most likely will have success. I've seen it before.

heres my first hand experience.
Ive got a false and a Black and White perc. Im not exactly sure if the BW is a perc. But heres what happened. Got the orange false perc bout 4 months ago, then a week later, got the BW perc.
Everything was well for 3 and 3/4 months, then my black got aggressive towards my orange. They've been "duking it out" for about a week now. None have died nor have heavy breathing, but the black seems to be getting territorial.
Not sure if its just the male/female phase clowns go through. As i said, ive only had these for four months. Dont know how they'll be in a couple more months.

Well true way to tell if fish are REALLY fighting is torn fins or missing scales. Otherwise is just harmless chasing, but then again if its all the time i guess its stressful. I don't know what to think about that because my damsels do it all day every day and i've had them for over a year now with no ill effects i can see.....
