clownfish doesnt like my anemone?

i have a maroon clown, and i just gave him a long tentacle anemone, its been six days and all the clown does is fan the sand around the anemone's foot, what does this mean?

Clowns are fickle. I had one clown and a pink tip haitian anemone (from SWF) and the clown never went near it. Then I bought a second clown and it went straight to the anemone. Then guess what... The original anemone is now in the anemone as well. Ya never know with those knuckleheads....

the clown is trying to keep the anemone from getting sand in it. My maroon clears the sand away from my anemones and they are not on the sand bed, they are about 3 inches above it. Maroons are especially hard on anemones, so good luck. Ive had 2 different anemones, the first one the clown killed being to rough with it, the second i learned my lesson and got a little larger GBTA and it is doing great and has split twice.

small triggers just made me realize the reason my clown constantly pushes sand away from my sebae...making like a ditch in the sandbed. he is cleaning the sand out of it. i just put my sebae on the sand against a rock and it must have liked it cause it stayed there and hasnt moved.
but anyways clowns are very random with anemones...some like them and some i guess dont..or dont notice them. mine stayed away for weeks then i woke up and hes swimming in and out of mine like crazy
