My clown fish laid their first batch of eggs the other day (about 4-5 days ago). The eggs have been turning a darker color ever since. Is this normal? If not what should the eggs look like if they are healthy?

Yes this is normal, they should bronze up some just before hatching. The male clown will generally take care of the eggs that won't hatch by plucking them out of the clutch.
