Clownfish hosting....

Anyone know any tricks to getting percs to host in a coral. I have a pretty nice size euphyllia and they will hang out around it at night but when the lights are on they stay at the top of the tank. Should i move the euphyllia closer to the light and maybe where the clowns hang out when the lights are on?

You could try moving the coral but give them some time. After my clowns hosted in the Xenias I moved the main xenia colony to the other side of the tank in efforts to get them growing up the back of the tank. The clowns did not follow, they stayed where the Xenia colony was... I ended up giving them the colony back and going to plan B. My point is they will choose what and where they host... all we can do is give them time and a healthy environment.

Also, I have a false percs that is trying to host my frogspawn . I see him swimming around it alot mainly in the evenings and at night but then he is out in the open most of the day. I'm thinking he has chosen the frogspawn but hasn't completely hosed it yet.

I have an anemone but its un-tropical so i dont think my tomato will host the anemone but he always makes his homes near anemones forexample; first the anemone was at the entrance of a small cave, then the clown host the cave then the anemone moved and went near the entrance of another cave and the clown host the other cave...
I think if u have a chance first make a cave and put the coral at the enterance, when the clown hosts the cave, take the cave and put it another place or... do something else w/ the rocks. Then i wish clown will host yur coral...

Be careful of what you ask for, you may get it.
By that I mean that a clown hosting in a coral isn't always the best thing. Some corals just don't like it and react negatively. Not necessarily by species either. Almost like individual personalities.
And, the clowns too have their own personality. Either they will or they won't. Their tank/their choice;) so to speak.

I read somewhere that if you put a small pic of a clown on the glass next to the anemone it will encourage the clown to host.
