clownfish jerking?

so my clownfish that i bought yesterday is jerking and i just noticed this all of a suddenly. He was along the glass and all of a sudden was speratically jerking about. Theres no other fish in the tank! my nitrates are 5-10ppm, my temp is 78, 1.024 salinity, 0 nitrite, 0 ammonia
he was doing great until what i just noticed.....anyone have any ideas?

It's usually a sign of submission.So theirs no other fish in their?Maybe he saw his reflection?

yea last night he was swimming crazy all excited , and now hes just kinda waggin around up near my powerhead, kinda seems tired, i think maybe he did see his shadow? any other ideas????

Gosh i don't know.What are your water parameters?Just to be sure he's not stressed over anything else.Also turn the lights off and give him time to acclimate and not see his shadow.Your sure theirs nothing that could be harassing him?

he seems better now but ill keep an eye on him, its just weird because my parameters are great and my only critters are an emerald crab, mushrooms, and snails and hermits

My guess is he saw his reflection and it scared him.he'll probably be fine when he gets use to it

thanx yea hes already come around since earlier, i just got nervous, because hes the first fish in, i just didnt want anything to wrong with this tank, but thanx for the help

mine did this when I first added him to my tank. I already had one who was alittle larger and I wanted to try to mate them. He only did it when the older clown approached him, so i think it was some type of submission or aggression.
