Well we finally got in some of the black and white clownfish.Just an adorable little one I might add. I am very confused though regarding the correct naming of these fish.
My LFS calls them "Barrier Reef Clownfish". After I went to pick out my new baby and paid for it we started to talk about them and how hard they are to get here in Canada. I asked her why she calls them that, and she replied "they come from the barrier reef"....
So you mean these are not captive bred??? She replied no they are from the wild. I was not impressed but have been waiting for one of these for sometime.
Mine is a baby baby and is a nice black and white but there is yellow on the front fins and on the nose, is this normal?? All the pictures I see show the yellow nose. So I asked her about the complete black and white ones that have been posted and she replied that they are probably photo shop touched up......
before posting them.
So is there indeed a clownfish called this or is she just naming them what ever they want??
