clownfish question...

i want to purchase a coral that the clownfish will house... which coral not anemone will a clownfish home. i dont like anemones no offense they r nice but had bad experiences please help thanks

Look at my avatar. I have several large fuzzy green mushrooms that my clowns have taken too for the past 3 years . I also have a BTA and a Sebae which they pay no attention too. For some odd reason they prefer these mushrooms..oh well

Everything you try will be hit or miss. The clowns will host in whatever they want to or nothing at all. Mine sleep by the Hydor flo. I have a very nice frogspawn that they pay no attention to at all. It is really up to them.

i have a really nice hairymushroom its splitting in 2 way up top really huge, but my clown swims all night in a corner kinda wak i would say they r tank bred and not wild so it takes them longer to home something, but shes been in my tank for 1 year i say she becuz her bf died he jumped "he was a jumper" smh

its a shame when they go carpet surfing...u could try getting another small juvenile clown to see if that would spark interest in hosting..
