I have a maroon clownfish and bought a bubble tip anemone. The clownfish and the anemone has not become a pair. I bought anemone about 1 1/2 weeks ago, is it still to early? i bought the clownfish about 2 weeks ago.

Did the maroon see the bta yet? What I did my 2 maroons where just hangin in the corner so I took the net and introduced them to each other and that was it love at first site. Then the 2 marooons paired in 2 days.

The maroon has not seen the bta yet. I moved the bta over to the corner where he hangs out all the time. Is that a good thing? when he gets use to the bta, i will probally move the bta somewhere in the middle of the tank. Good idea?

well the BTA will move where ever it wants to so moving it wont help. Also your 2 clowns might not want to take host in the BTA not ever anemone will host clowns. It all depeneds on them its not like u can buy one and think its gonig to be a perfect match. I have a BTA and when i lost a clown they stopped going near it and with the new clown they still havent went back so its all up to them.

ok, i tried to move the clown to the bta but he just swims back to his corner where the heater is. I dont want to stress him out or anything so im going to wait it out and hope for the best. Thanks for all your help!!

if you keep messing with him you are going to kill him leave them along if they want to go to the BTA they will if not then they wont. But if you keep messing with they you are gonig to stress them out so bad you will kill them for sure

i threw my anenome right by the clown and then the clown followed it right back too the bottom u should try it works.

Should leave them alone. They are all very new to the tank. Let them settle in first. One set of my clowns took over three weeks before even looking at the anemone. Now they are all together and happy. Patience!!!!!

Good idea blue,One important thing we learned or we will learn with this hobby is to be patient and it will reward you with success!!!
