Clownfish...

I once saw this page somewhere that had a compatability list for clownfish and anemones. Does anyone know where that is? Also I am planning on getting a clownfish for my 10g nano. I already have 1 domino...and cleaners(hermits, snails, worms, serpent star) if I add a clownfish and a goby(suggestions???) will the load be ok...3 fish in 10g? Sounds ok but just want to make sure...because in the future I plan to add an anemone..maybe...I am worried about it travelling and stinging other things in such a small tank...also is there a chance that the domino would take up residence in the anemone before the clownfish could? Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks

I wouldn't expect that your domino would take an anemone from the clown, but I am not sure if the goby would be too much stock in the tank.

How established is your tank? I am personally in favor of keeping anemones, if you take the steps to learn about, and care for them properly. You will hear a lot of comments against having them in a tank, as many feel strongly about that. Don't rush in to that, as even the hardiest of anemones are not the hardiest of creatures. I have a Bubble Tip, and those are among the hardiest, and it is happy as can be. But do your homework very carefully before getting one.

That may be too many if you want to keep an anemone as well. They usually require very good water. It also depends on what kind of filtration you have.

I would fully expect the Domino to boot the Clown out of an anemone even if it's added after the Clown. They are very aggressive.
I would suggest a 20 gal for either of these fish though and an even larger tank for an anemone.

Dominoes are almost as bad as clarkii clowns when it comes to inhabiting anemones. They'll take to just about anything. I had one take to my elephant ear mushroom. (Not the best of ideas there fishy.)
I fully agree with Bang Guy...get a 20gal if at all possible...but I also kind of think that pretty much anything you can put in a tank that size will be picked upon/apart by the domino. I've seen one take on a clown trigger. More cojones than brains.

I love this fish..his name is Horatio (don't ask) He was only bought to help cycle the tank. To make way for my clownfish..the whole point of this tank...but he has definitely made a friend...anyone else have one?

I think Dominoes look really cute but I also thing that if they grew large that sharks would run in terror. I've had them attack ME while snorkeling and they are relentless.
Minireef - I urge you to consider hairy mushrooms instead of the anemone. You will be more likely to achieve success and there will be at least one (probably 10) less anemone taken from the ocean.

Dominos can be extremely aggressive. I know a guy that works at a neighboring LFS that had a customer who cycled his tank with a domino and a tomato clown. They lived just fine in his 175gal for several years, but he couldn't put anything else in the tank without them killing it. lol One heck of a tank for 2 4" fish.
