How does one tell the difference between a sebae and a clarkii ???

I've also been told that different Species of clownfish are incompatable, i was under the impression that within a particular species unless mated you'd have problems, I have a tomatoe, 2 paired percs, clarkii, and sebae mixed with different damsels for over a year now and have had no problem what so ever, to which i was told i was lucky. I assume (what i was told when buying) that i have a sebea and clarkii even though they look very similar except the sebea is darker
