clowns host

hey guys!! im so excited to say that my clowns have officially hosted today!!! yay!! haha.. just a question, not sure what this coral is called, but it closes when hes hosting it and continues to host it when its closed, it hasnt had a chance to open up again, is this normal?

Green Goniopora typically don't live long. Do a search on this site, there are a few things you can do to improve its chances. Probably 1 or 2 in 10000 live more than a 6 months. Having the Clown irritating it is not going to improve its chances.

Hi,
It's a hard coral to keep alive, like Bang guy said. I had a beautiful healthy one, for almost a year....and then my clowns killed it by wallowing it to death. No it won't open with them bothering it and the fish won't stop once they start.
My love for clownfish have dwindled over the years, I still have the little buggers. They are the most healthy little bothers I ever had....I have had no luck with keeping any more goniopora alive since, and quit buying it.
